ELROY GÖREN SERINKEN
Elroy Gören Serinken is a Turkish-Romanian architect currently working as a consultant and architectural designer at 33 Nest. His vision for architecture is to remove users from the fixed boundaries that architects tend to place them into, and design in a way that provides users the freedom to shape their space as they desire to; for him, the place of the architect is to provide the safe, comfortable, and aesthetic canvas upon which the inhabitants can paint their artwork.
Elroy received his bachelor's degree at the Department of Architecture in Middle East Technical University and spent one exchange semester in Politecnico di Torino's 'Construction City' master's degree program . He has completed multiple architectural and construction internships in multiple countries such as at VEN Architecture in Istanbul, Turkey and Selalice Construction in Oradea, Romania. At 33 Nest, he focuses on transforming residential houses into expansive timeless spaces through free plans and a careful attention to all the details and components that must come together holistically to create spaces.
In his free time, Elroy enjoys reading books avidly and does other activities such as playing musical instruments, drawing, videography and outdoor sports.
